SYLVIO DUPOIS, O.D., Former Mayor, City of Manchester
Dr. Dupuis started his professional career as an optometrist and is an alumnus of Saint Anselm College and the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Dupuis was the first president of Catholic Medical Center. He was the funding partner of the largest Optometric practice in New Hampshire which he left when elected Mayor of Manchester, his native city.
He served the State of NH under two Governors as Commissioner of Health and Human Services and later as Commissioner of Insurance. He served for five years as President of the New England College of Optometry.
Dr. Dupuis serves as an independent consultant to businesses and the professions. He served as interim president of Notre Dame College. He currently serves as special assistant to the President, for Government and Community Relations of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Manchester.
DR. PAUL J. LEBLANC, President, Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU)
Under the nine years of Paul’s direction, SNHU has more than tripled in size and is the largest provider of online higher education in New England, one of the five largest in the country, and the first to have a full competency-based degree program (untethered to the credit hour or classes) approved by a regional accreditor. In 2012 the university was #12 on Fast Company magazine’s “World’s Fifty Most Innovative Companies” list and was the only university included. Paul won a New England Higher Education Excellence Award in 2012 and was named one of “New Hampshire’s Most Influential People” by New Hampshire Business Review. In 2012 Forbes Magazine listed him as one of its 15 “Classroom Revolutionaries” and he was just featured on Bloomberg TV’s “Innovators” series.
DIANNE MERCIER, President, People’s United Bank
Since 2009, Mercier has served as People’s United Bank President for New Hampshire. Dianne’s banking career began in New Hampshire in 1985, holding various positions in both regional and commercial banking. Dianne lives in Manchester, NH, with her husband, John, and they have two grown children and a granddaughter.
Her Civic and Charitable Activities include: The New England Council Board Member, Elliot Health System, Manchester Trustee, Rivier University, Nashua, NH Trustee, Manchester Chamber of Commerce Board Member, NH Public Radio Trustee, NH Center for Public Policy Studies Board Member, and RiverWoods at Exeter Board Member.
Her accomplishments include: 2012 Outstanding Women in Business Award NH Business Review, 2009 Leadership New Hampshire, 2000 Leadership Manchester, and 1998 Leadership Nashua.
ARTHUR SULLIVAN, Principal Partner, Brady Sullivan
Mr. Sullivan a Manchester native is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is a Principal Partner in Brady Sullivan Properties. Arthur has spent the last 34 years using his real estate experience to become one of southern New Hampshire’s largest industrial, office and residential property owners. Arthur serves on many committees, and non-profit organizations, which give back to the community. It is a commitment that he takes seriously. Some of the committees that he is currently involved with are Intown Manchester, New Hampshire Catholic Charities, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, New Hampshire Institute of Art, The YMCA, The Muchachos, Moore Center, and New Hampshire Food Bank.
